Scope of Work
- Swapped the old toggle switches for rocker switches
- Added dimmers and a new outlet in the primary bath
- Ran three dedicated circuits in the garage, each with a quad outlet
- Put a surge protector on the Eaton panel
This Washougal job was a whole-house refresh plus more power in the garage. We swapped the old toggle switches for rockers throughout, added dimmers and an outlet in the primary bath, ran three dedicated garage circuits with quad outlets, and put a surge protector on the Eaton panel.
Swapping the switches
The house had older toggle switches, some with lighted toggles behind stainless plates. The job allowed for up to 40 switches. Swapping them all at once means every switch in the house matches, and each box gets opened and checked while we’re there. Loose or worn connections show up during a swap like this, and it’s a lot easier to fix them now than after one starts to heat up.
We also added up to three dimmers.
Three circuits for the garage
We ran three new dedicated circuits from the panel in EMT conduit along the garage walls, each one ending at a quad outlet. That way bigger tools and a freezer can each have their own circuit instead of sharing one breaker. Our dedicated garage circuits page has more on what each one can run.
Surge protection
With the panel open for the new circuits, we added a surge protector on the Eaton panel. It helps protect the electronics in the house from surges coming in on the line. Our surge protector installation page covers how it works.

What customers say about our dedicated circuit work
Garrett and Anthony came out and added some plugs and moved a couple for our remodel, they were on time, went above and beyond with helping move furniture, cleaned up their mess and were very professional, I will use Newman from here on out for all our future electrical needs and recommend them to anyone else needing electrical work!!
Ryan was able to come out the same day. He charged half of what another electrician quoted. Friendly and professional.
